Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are made of various kinds of natural and man-made or synthetic materials that have been developed over the years for injection into the skin, such a hyaluronic acid.
They help to restore our skin and facial contours to their former youthful appearance, as the material is injected into areas where it needs to be plumped up again and made to look firmer, both in terms of filling out wrinkles or revolumising the face as well as addressing ageing hands. Dermal fillers have many applications so it’s important to learn about what they can treat.
Dermal fillers come in different thicknesses, and in general, the thicker the product, the deeper it is injected into the dermal layer of the skin to help plump out medium to deep lines and wrinkles, such as naso-labial folds (nose to mouth lines), fill scars, contour or revolumise the cheeks and chin or to augment or reshape lips.
How long the results last varies from several months to over a year or two. Some research shows that repeated injections may help stimulate the body's own natural production of collagen. That will help reduce the number of lines and wrinkles. There is also some evidence that less filler is needed over time to achieve the same look.
Spider Vein Treatment
Spider veins are small, twisted veins that appear most commonly on the face and legs. They can be red, purple or bluish in colour. They are called spider veins because they often sprawl out in a spider web like pattern if not treated. Spider veins can appear in small patches where they aren’t very noticeable, or they can grow to cover large areas of skin, resulting in an obviously unattractive appearance if left untreated.
Laser spider vein treatment helps to diminish the appearance with no incisions, no downtime, and minimal discomfort. The laser uses a focused beam of light which has a specific wavelength that is targeted to the pigment in the blood. The laser heats up the small vein and destroys it. The laser beam is very focused and does not damage the nearby skin tissue. Over a period of four to six weeks, the vein is reabsorbed by the body and disappears.

Botox
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to temporarily improve the look of both moderate to severe crow’s feet lines and frown lines between the eyebrows in adults.
BOTOX® Cosmetic targets one of the underlying causes of frown lines and crow’s feet—the repeated muscle contractions from frowning and squinting over the years. Your provider will inject these muscles with BOTOX® Cosmetic to temporarily reduce muscle activity. You will begin to notice a visible smoothing of your crow’s feet lines and frown lines between your brows.
You may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours for moderate to severe frown lines, with results lasting up to 4 months.
